Operation
Quick-EDD/HA enables replication of various objects such as databases, IFS files, system values, user profiles, spool files, job queues, task schedulers, and more from a production server to a standby backup server ready to replace the production server.
IBM i local journal-based replication ensures data integrity. It is compatible with different hardware components, storage systems and IBM i operating systems, whether located in the same data center or remotely.
Quick-EDD/HA offers 5250 screen and graphical interface options, with support in seven languages. Alerts can be configured via email, MSGQ and SNMP, with a Nagios plugin.
In the event of a planned or unplanned production server outage, customizable failover procedures can be performed manually, interactively or in batch. Tools are also provided to assist with analysis, monitoring and specific configuration scenarios.
